Every day, I’m looking at something in a way that a fellow photographer, artist, or writer would …. noticing the hint of shadow, turn of a line, or stark contrast between two or more things…. the details. Those finite things that set everything apart from the things around it.
Catching the details is how I see the world… and I’m usually snapping pictures – often, a hundred in a day – capturing the moments that make up a life – mundane to most, but the simple elements of who I am. And, I’m notorious for snapping pictures while I’m in my truck. Yikes!
Always curious, nearly everything fascinates me, but I find greatest pleasure in weather, nature, roads/paths, and architectural elements. Once in a while, a selfie gets in the mix, but it’s a rarity. I prefer to be behind the camera, thank-you-very-much. Oh, and then there’s texture. It sends me right over the edge! The flakier, chippier, and rustier – the absolute better!!
Curious about what I capture through my lens? You’ll find my latest fascinations on Instagram, where I upload on-the-go almost daily.
